What makes a successful PMO Manager?

Extensive experience in Project Management
Experience in Management or Leadership role
A solid understanding in project management methodologies, tools and processes across the project lifecycle, in particular the Project Management Body of Knowledge
Experience with demand planning and/or management – for example Sales & Operational Planning, Manufacturing Scheduling, Flight rostering, Workforce Planning etc.
Experience in the Insurance and Automotive industries desirable
Formal project management methodologies – Prince 2 or PMP
Demonstrated knowledge of planning, implementation and change management
Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business
